It did not come as a shock to anyone familiar with the background of Josh “The Goods” Woods that he won the 2017 Top Prospect Tournament. Woods entered it with the most robust amateur record of any competitor in the history of the tournament. Woods was a four-time All-American and national champion wrestler at the University of Central Florida. He also has run fight camps for UFC stars Seth Petruzelli, Alex Nicholson, Mike Perry and “Filthy” Tom Lawlor.
Despite his relative lack of pro wrestling experience, Woods has more than held his own against the best wrestlers on the planet in ROH and has all the makings of a future champion.
