Bryan Danielson
“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson not only is one of the most talented and beloved competitors in the modern era of pro wrestling, but he also played a major role in establishing Ring of Honor as the Best Wrestling on the Planet. Known as one of the “Founding Fathers” of ROH, Danielson competed in the main event on the very first ROH show in 2002.
Danielson, a master ring technician and submission specialist, cemented his status as the best wrestler in the world when he won the ROH World Title in 2005. His 462-day reign is the third-longest in company history, and no one defended the championship more times than he did. During his reign, Danielson defeated ROH Pure Champion Nigel McGuinness in Liverpool, England to merge the titles. Danielson also won the inaugural Survival of the Fittest in 2004 and main-evented ROH’s first-ever pay-per-view in 2007.
