Jonathan Gresham is now a double world champion.
The ROH World Champion defeated Cara Noir in London on Sunday to become the first American wrestler to win the Progress World Title. Both championships were on the line.
Noir had held the Progress World Title for a record 791 days (two years, two months).
Gresham, who wrestled at Impact Wrestling’s TV tapings in Philadelphia on Friday and Saturday before heading to London, continues to be on an incredible run since winning the ROH World Title at Final Battle: End of an Era on Dec. 11.
“The Octopus” has been defending the title all over the world, including in Denmark and Ireland. Earlier this month, Gresham won the prestigious 16 Carat Gold Tournament in Germany.
Gresham will face Bandido, who claims to be the rightful ROH World Champion because he was never defeated for the title, at Supercard of Honor on April 1 in suburban Dallas.
