RECAP

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Title Match: Champions Villain Enterprises (“The Villain” Marty Scurll, PCO and Brody King) vs. Jeff Cobb, RUSH and Jay Lethal

Several minutes into the match, Cobb began tossing all three of his opponents around. He hit a standing moonsault on Scurll, but King made the save. Cobb came back with a double pumphandle slam on Scurll and King. Later, King hit a flip dive over the top rope onto Cobb, Lethal and RUSH on the floor. That was followed buy Scurll back-body-dropping PCO over the top onto them. Scurll and King hit a 619/cannonball combination on Cobb for a near fall.

RUSH hit a belly to belly suplex on PCO into the corner. Lethal then hit Hail to the King on PCO, but Scurll made the save. Lethal went for Lethal Injection, but King caught him on his shoulders and hit a spin-out powerbomb. PCO followed with a moonsault for the victory. PCO has now pinned ROH World Champion Matt Taven and two-time former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal in six-man tag matches.

Kenny King attacks Lethal

After the match, Lethal was jumped on the stage by King, who had been sitting in on commentary. King, who had been claiming that he was blind as a result of being sprayed with Great Muta’s mist at G1 Supercard, revealed -- to the surprise of no one -- that the whole thing was a ruse. King choked Lethal with his walking stick until security came out and pulled him off.

Flip Gordon discusses knee injury, ROH World Title shot

In a sit-down interview, Gordon reflected on the MCL tear he suffered in his right knee during a match against Tracy Williams in January. He said he pushed himself in rehab to come back early. Gordon, who is owed an ROH World Title shot by virtue of winning the Sea of Honor tournament in October, expected to be facing Jay Lethal and said he was surprised when Matt Taven won the title at G1 Supercard. Gordon said he’s excited to be facing Taven for the title.

ROH World Title Match: Champion Matt Taven (w/TK O’Ryan) vs. Flip Gordon

Gordon got off to a fast start, but after he superkicked an interfering O’Ryan, Taven took advantage of Gordon's attention being diverted and knocked him out of the ring. Taven then slammed Gordon on the floor and tossed him head-first into the ring post. The champion also hip-tossed a charging Gordon onto the guardrail.

Taven went to work on Gordon’s left knee. Gordon finally halted Taven’s momentum with a springboard knee strike. Gordon hit Falcon Arrow for a near fall. Taven spit in Gordon’s face and hit a pop-up powerbomb followed by Just the Tip for a near fall. Gordon came back with a spinning cutter. Gordon went to the top rope, but then red balloons came up from under the ring. Taven superkicked Gordon’s left knee and then hit Climax while Gordon was on the top rope for the win.

After the match, Vinny Marseglia revealed that he had been hiding under the ring.
