-- Hiromu Takahashi defeated Frankie Kazarian

-- The Young Bucks won a tag-team gauntlet match to earn a future shot at the ROH World Tag Team Titles

Frankie Kazarian vs. Hiromu Takahashi

Kazarian, who along with Christopher Daniels mentored Takahashi in ROH at one time, took control of the match after hitting a snap suplex into the guardrail. Later, Kazarian landed a slingshot cutter for a near fall.

Takahashi rallied with his explosive offense and went on to hit Time Bomb for a hard-fought victory over the veteran.

Backstage footage: Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas attack LSG

Bruiser and Milonas caught Coast 2 Coast’s LSG alone backstage and jumped him. The two behemoths splashed LSG against a concrete wall and left him lying. This does not bode well for Coast 2 Coast with the tag-team gauntlet match about to begin.

Tag Team Gauntlet Match (winner receives a future shot at the ROH World Tag Team Titles)

Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas vs. Coast 2 Coast’s Shaheem Ali

Ali came out without tag partner LSG, who was unable to compete due to Bruiser and Milonas’ backstage attack on him. Undeterred, Ali said he will take on both of them.

Ali started strong and took the fight to Bruiser and Milonas, but eventually the size and numbers disadvantage was too much to overcome. The big men hit their Last Call superplex/frog splash combination for the victory.

Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas vs. The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara)

The Dawgs came out drinking beer from plastic cups. The told Bruiser and Milonas they should all drink beer together rather than wrestle each other. Bruiser and Milonas took a drink from the cups and then punched The Dawgs in their mouths.

The Dawgs used a flurry of double-team offense to gain the advantage, but Bruiser and Milonas proved resilient. Milonas hit a superplex on Ferrara to eliminate The Dawgs.

Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley)

Bruiser and Milonas’ impressive cardio belied their physical appearance, as they jumped on the fresh former ROH World Tag Team Champions and dominated them in the early going.

The tide turned after Bruiser went for a cannonball off the apron and inadvertently took out Milonas. Sabin and Shelley went on to hit Made in Detroit on Bruiser to put an end to Bruiser and Milonas’ impressive showing in the gauntlet match.

Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson)

These two teams are certainly no strangers to one another, and they renewed their rivalry by exchanging a series of punches right from the outset.

Matt Jackson was clearly hindered during the match by his nagging back injury, but he fought through the pain. After several minutes of back-and-forth, electrifying action, MCMG went for Made in Detroit, but Matt caught Sabin with a backslide for the win.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. The Kingdom (Vinny Marseglia and TK O’Ryan)

While Kingdom leader Matt Taven came out to the stage to distract The Young Bucks, Marseglia and O’Ryan came through the crowd and attacked the Bucks from behind.

The Kingdom isolated Matt Jackson and targeted his injured back. Matt finally was able to tag Nick, who ran wild on both Marseglia and O’Ryan. Marseglia halted Nick’s momentum by using O’Ryan’s bat behind the referee’s back, but The Young Bucks regained the advantage. They set up for the Five-Star Meltzer Driver, but Matt’s bad back prevented him from getting O’Ryan off the ground and into position for it. Nick helped Matt get O’Ryan up and they hit the finisher to win the match and earn a shot at the titles they’ve held on three occasions.

“You jumped my boy LSG in the back, so now you think I’m going to take myself out of the competition. You gotta be out of your mind. You don’t know me too well. You think you can take out Coast 2 Coast because you threw a scare. I’m not afraid of either one of you. So tonight it’s me against both of you.”

-- Shaheem Ali to Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas prior to their match

“That shouldn’t stay on the record book of Coast 2 Coast.”
