RECAP

ROH World Television Title No. 1 Contender’s Mini-Tournament: Facade vs. Eli Isom (w/Ryan Nova)

Facade used his cat-like agility and quickness to stay a step ahead of Isom early in the match, but Isom gained the advantage after hitting a big suicide dive and then a belly-to-back suplex into a bridge for a near fall. Facade answered with a spectacular springboard step-up 450 clothesline to the floor.

Back inside the ring, Facade connected with a Neon Hammer and Neon Terminator, but somehow the resilient Isom kicked out at two. Isom rallied and landed a clothesline that turned Facade inside out. Isom followed with a brainbuster for the victory.

Kelly Klein reiterates bold statement

In a backstage interview, Klein said once again that she is so confident in her ability to retain the Women of Honor World Championship that any one-on-one match she is in will be for the title.

Jay Lethal has a message for Matt Taven

In a backstage interview, the ROH World Champion said there are competitors from around the world who want a shot at his title. Lethal said he hears what Taven has been saying about being the real world champion, and eventually their paths will cross and Taven will get exactly what he has coming to him.

The Kingdom’s TK O’Ryan vs. RUSH

O’Ryan not only was looking to score the biggest win of his career, but he also wanted to gain a measure of revenge for Kingdom leader Matt Taven, who had his head shaved due to losing a hair vs. hair tag match to RUSH and his partner at CMLL’s 85th Anniversary show a few months ago.

O’Ryan clearly was motivated, as he went move for move with the CMLL superstar, who recently signed an exclusive contract with ROH. O’Ryan threw RUSH into the barricade and then tossed him in the ring and hit a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. RUSH came back with an overhead throw into the turnbuckles, but O’Ryan answered with a spinebuster for a near fall. RUSH regained the advantage with a superplex and followed with a low dropkick in the corner for the hard-fought victory.

After the match, red balloons appeared from under the ring. The Kingdom’s Vinny Marseglia entered the ring to distract RUSH, which allowed Taven to attack RUSH from behind. Marseglia hit a death drop on RUSH. Then all three Kingdom members hit a conchairto on him.

ROH World Television Title No. 1 Contender’s Mini-Tournament: Silas Young vs. Beer City Bruiser

Before the match began, Bruiser grabbed a microphone and challenged his former friend to make this a no-disqualification match; Young accepted. Bruiser and Young immediately began brawling, both in and out of the ring. Bruiser superplexed Young off the barricade. Back inside the ring, Bruiser hip-tossed Young off the top rope and hit a Beer City Slam onto a chair for a near fall.

Later, Young set up several chairs in the ring and slammed Bruiser off the top rope onto them for a near fall. Young then pulled out a pair of zip ties and tied Bruiser to the top rope. Young proceeded to nail the helpless Bruiser with chair shots to the head, back and midsection. At that point, Bruiser’s tag partner, Brian Milonas, hit the ring, beat down Young and cut Bruiser loose. Milonas placed a chair on Young’s chest and set up for a Vader Bomb, but Young popped up and slammed the chair onto Milonas’ back. Young then shoved Milonas off the top and through a table on the floor.

Bruiser regained the advantage and placed a chair on the fallen Young’s chest. Bruiser then came off the top with a reverse elbow drop for a near fall. Bruiser grabbed his keg and nailed Young with it. He placed Young on a table and went for a frog splash, but Young moved and Bruiser crashed through the table. Young then hit Misery for the win.

Young will face Eli Isom in two weeks for a shot at the ROH World Television Title, currently held by Jeff Cobb.
