Cody has a message for CMLL

In a backstage segment, Cody said he’s going to leave Titan with just enough energy to crawl back to CMLL in Mexico and let them know that they need to send someone bigger and better if they want to maintain the partnership with ROH. Brandi Rhodes told Cody there’s no one bigger than him.

Riley Shepard and Gabby Ortiz vs. WOH Champion Sumie Sakai and Stella Grey

Shepard and Ortiz isolated Grey in the early going. Grey eventually tagged in Sakai, who took control of the match. All four competitors ended up in the ring at the same time. In the end, Sakai hit Smash Mouth on Shepard for the win.

Cheeseburger vs. Bully Ray in a No-Countout, No-Disqualification Match

Bully ambushed Cheeseburger before the opening bell and hit him low. Bully brutalized Cheeseburger outside the ring and decided to shove and intimidate ROH ambassador Cary Silkin as well. Back inside the ring, Bully turned his back on the fallen Cheeseburger to taunt the crowd, and Cheeseburger made him pay for it. Cheeseburger grabbed a kendo stick and nailed Bully with it and then used it to choke him.

Bully regained the advantage with a big powerbomb. Bully then whipped Cheeseburger with a chain. The referee told Bully that Cheeseburger has had enough, but Bully shoved down the referee and hit him with the chain. Color commentator Colt Cabana had seen enough. Cabana charged the ring and speared Bully and then unleashed a series of punches to his face. Cabana took the chain and hit Bully in the throat with it. Cabana then handed a cheese grater to Cheeseburger, who came off the top with the the grater onto Bully Ray in a variation of the Dudleys’ “Whassup?” move.

Cheeseburger set up a table in the ring, but Bully landed a back suplex. Bully placed Cheeseburger on the table and went for a splash off the middle rope, but Cheeseburger moved and Bully went crashing through the table. Cheeseburger covered Bully. A second referee hit the ring and made the count, but Bully kicked out at the last second. Cheeseburger went for Shotei, but Bully caught him with a big boot for the win. After the match, Bully shoved the referee.

Coleman’s Pulpit welcomes ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions The Kingdom

After Caprice Coleman introduced Matt Taven and TK O’Ryan of The Kingdom, Taven told Coleman they brought him a gift. Taven said they remembered that Coleman wore a beret when he was in The Rebellion, so they got him a new beret. O’Ryan placed the hat on Coleman’s head. It was shaped like a dunce cap and had the word “Melvin” on it. Vinny Marseglia then appeared and offered Coleman a glass of red wine. The creepy Marseglia poured some of the “wine” out of a balloon into his hand and then licked the liquid off his hand.

Coleman brought up the gauntlet match that will take place next week with the winner receiving a shot at The Kingdom’s six-man titles. Taven said The Kingdom waited a year to get their rematch for the titles, and the gauntlet match is part of the conspiracy against them. Coleman told a story about overcoming adversity and applied it to The Kingdom’s situation. The Kingdom took offense to Coleman’s insinuation that there is no conspiracy. Coleman and The Kingdom began trading insults. The Kingdom stormed off.

SCU is ready for the gauntlet

In a backstage segment with SoCal Uncensored’s Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky, Daniels sarcastically said he applauds The Kingdom for setting up the gauntlet match so that SCU has to battle everyone to get the rematch for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Titles that they should already have. Daniels said that’s fine because SCU is happy to beat up every other team in the match.

The Dawgs need some scratch

In a backstage segment, The Dawgs were talking about needing money to pay Shane Taylor to be their partner in the gauntlet match next week. Rhett Titus told Will Ferrara they should “shakedown one of these Future of Honor cats.” Just then, Ryan Nova walked in. The Dawgs turned Nova upside down and his wallet fell out of his pocket. It only had $6 in it. Ferrara said that won’t be enough for Taylor. Nova asked for his wallet back. Titus decked him.

Titan vs. Cody (w/Brandi Rhodes and Burnard The Business Bear)

Titan gained the early advantage, but interference by Brandi and Burnard slowed his momentum. After the masked luchador went back on the offensive, Burnard again tried to interfere. As Titan threatened Burnard, Cody went to hit Titan, but Titan ducked and Cody inadvertently nailed Burnard. Titan then hit a moonsault off the top rope onto Cody and Burnard outside the ring. The impact from the moonsault knocked off Burnard’s head.

After the action returned to inside the ring, Cody hit a low blow behind the referee’s back and a Disaster Kick for a near fall. Titan charged at Cody, but Cody pulled the referee in front of him and Titan slowed up. Cody then kicked Titan in the gut, ripped off his mask and caught him in a small package for the win.
