RECAP

Dalton Castle and The Boys vs. LifeBlood (IWGP U.S. Champion Juice Robinson, Bandido and “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams w/Tenille Dashwood)

Castle and The Boys isolated Bandido, but Bandido eventually tagged out to Robinson, who ran wild on both Boys. He hit an airplane spin, Juice Box and Pulp Friction on a Boy and made the cover, but Castle pulled Robinson out of the ring.

Bandido landed a dive over the top rope onto Castle on the floor. Later, a Boy inadvertently kicked Castle. Bandido hit an over-the-top rope hurricanrana on Castle on the floor, and then hit a springboard moonsault on a Boy, who was draped over the middle rope. Castle again broke up the pin. Bandido threw one of the Boys into Castle and then  landed 21 Plex on a Boy for the victory, as Castle and The Boys’ losing ways and communication problems continued.

Jay Lethal on going to the Garden

Lethal talked about how excited he is to be wrestling at a sold-out Madison Square Garden for G1 Supercard on April 6. He said the only thing that would make it sweeter would be to walk in as the ROH World Champion. Lethal will do exactly that when he defends the title against Matt Taven and Marty Scurll in a ladder match.

The Briscoes have something to prove

Jay Briscoe said at G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden, not only will he and Mark prove they are the best tag team in the world, they’ll also prove they are the best tag team of the century.

NWA National Title Match: Champion Willie Mack vs. Rhett Titus

Mack and Titus mat-wrestled early in the match. Mack hit a running suplex to seize the advantage, but Titus halted the champion’s momentum with a boot to the face.

Mack came back with a modified cannonball into the corner and a flip dive over the top rope onto Titus on the floor. Mack then hit a standing moonsault and a stunner before finishing off Titus with a frog splash.

Bully Ray issues open challenge for G1 Supercard

Bully Ray boasted that he’s the only man in ROH and New Japan Pro-Wrestling who has wrestled at Madison Square Garden. He said he will steal the show at G1 Supercard, and it’s just a question of who he will make famous. He said he will face anyone who wants to accept his challenge for a New York City Street Fight at MSG.

Coast 2 Coast (LSG and Shaheem Ali) vs. ROH World Champion Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham

After some back-and-forth action in the early going, Lethal hit an Enziguri on Ali, and Gresham followed with a Dragon Screw leg whip. From there, Lethal and Gresham targeted Ali’s left leg. Ali eventually tagged in LSG, who entered the ring with a head of steam until Lethal nailed him with a superkick.

Lethal went for Lethal Injection on LSG, but LSG blocked it and hit a neckbreaker for a near fall. Later, Lethal powerbombed Ali, and Gresham locked on the figure-four on Ali, but LSG made the save. Gresham went on to hit a Cornette Cutter on Ali for the victory.

THEY SAID IT

“Every company is going to have its doubters or its naysayers, and let them say what they’re going to say. The fact of the matter is we have sold out Madison Square Garden. What do you think about that?”
-- ROH World Champion Jay Lethal

“At the Royal Rumble 2000, I put my name on the map in Madison Square Garden. I’ve main-evented Madison Square Garden. I’ve wrestled at WrestleMania in Madison Square Garden. I’m a god in Madison Square Garden. And at the G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden, I’m going to steal the show.”
-- Bully Ray
