RECAP

The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara) vs. Coast 2 Coast (LSG and Shaheem Ali)

The Dawgs seized control after Titus landed a big boot to Ali’s head outside the ring that knocked Ali down a flight of stairs near ringside. With Ali incapicated, The Dawgs double-teamed LSG. Ferrara hit BLL on LSG and Titus followed up with the Big Dawg Splash for a near fall. Eventually, Ali got back to the apron and LSG tagged him in. LSG hit Saintsplosion and Ali landed a splash off the top rope for the win.

After the match. Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas, who had been sitting in on commentary, attacked Coast 2 Coast and left them lying.

Marty Scurll is coming for Dalton Castle

In a backstage interview, Scurll mockingly congratulated Castle on his successful ROH World Title defense against Jay Lethal at 16th Anniversary. Scurll said that at Supercard of Honor, Castle will fall victim to “The Villain” and he will become the new champion.

Dalton Castle responds to Marty Scurll

In another backstage interview, the ROH World Champion said he is really good at big events, and Supercard of Honor, where he will defend his title against Scurll, will have the biggest crowd in ROH history. Castle said the title belongs to him and he will leave Supercard of Honor still champion.

Women of Honor Title Tournament First-Round Match: Mayu Iwatani vs. HZK from Osaka, Japan

This bout, which took place at a Stardom show, pitted one of the favorites to win the tournament in Iwatani against HZK, the youngest competitor (20 years old) in the tournament. Surprisingly, HZK dominated for much of the match and got several near falls. Iwatani proved resilient, however, and eventually seized the advantage. Iwatani finished off HZK with a bridging Dragon Suplex.

Iwatani advances to the quarterfinals, where she will face Deonna Purrazzo.

SoCal Uncensored’s Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian and The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia and TK O’Ryan) vs. Bullet Club (Cody, Young Bucks Matt and Nick Jackson, Marty Scurll and Adam Page)

Bullet Club’s Young Bucks, Scurll and Page came out together, but Cody -- who had the word “leader” on his tights -- got a seperate entrance and came out to his own music accompanied by Brandi Rhodes and mascot Bury The Drug-Free Bear. Surprisingly, Daniels and Kazarian and The Kingdom, who had formed an alliance because Bullet Club is a common enemy, worked well together -- at least initially. Bullet Club, meanwhile, didn’t always seem on the same page. At one point, Matt and Nick Jackson were set to deliver dual superkicks to Marseglia, but Cody tagged himself in and hit a Snap Dragon Suplex -- one of Kenny Omega’s signature moves -- for a near fall.

During the latter stages of the fast-paced match, SoCal Uncensored’s Scorpio Sky came down to the ring while Daniels distracted the referee. Sky went for a Missile Dropkick on Cody, but Cody moved out of the way and Sky inadvertently nailed Marseglia. Rhodes then hit Cross Rhodes on Marseglia for the victory.

After the match the tenuous alliance between SoCal Uncensored and The Kingdom disintegrated and the two units brawled.

THEY SAID IT

“I’ve worked my ass off to get here, and there’s no way in hell you’re walking away with my world championship.”

-- ROH World Champion Dalton Castle to Marty Scurl
