ROH Mourns The Passing Of Hall Of Famer Pat Patterson

Ring of Honor is saddened to learn that Hall of Famer Pat Patterson has died. He was 79.

Patterson’s pro wrestling career began in 1958 and spanned four decades. He wrestled all over the world and was a huge star in the WWF, AWA and San Francisco territory, among other places.

After he retired from the ring, Patterson worked for years in key roles behind the scenes in the WWF. He is credited with creating the Royal Rumble match.

ROH extends its deepest condolences to Patterson’s family, friends and fans.
