ROH Cares: Stars visit students at Coral Academy of Sciences in Las Vegas

Ring of Honor stars Kelly Klein, the Kingdom, and lead announcer Ian Riccaboni recently spoke to fifth and sixth graders at the Coral Academy of Sciences at Nellis Airforce Base in Las Vegas, NV. Klein and Riccaboni spoke to fifth graders about the importance of setting goals while Matt Taven, TK O’Ryan, and Vinny Marseglia spoke to sixth graders about the importance of respect and treating others right.

"The students had a variety of exciting goals for their futures. It was great talking to them about ways to work toward those achievements,” Klein told Klein continued: “Many of the goals didn't directly relate to fitness and athletics, but the techniques we discussed could be applied to anything. Even as goals change over time, learning and applying certain methods can open up so many possibilities and allow students to have great experiences along the way.”

For many of the ROH stars, it was their first time on a US Airforce Base. O’Ryan was impressed by host, fifth grade teacher Russell Weiser. Mr. Weiser and his colleagues foster a strong learning environment with children that may not find themselves in the same school year-to-year due to their parents’ service to our country. “The kids are from all over because of the Air Force. The base and the school do an amazing job of creating an environment where they can all thrive,” O’Ryan said.

Klein added “I loved hearing the kids talk about being future doctors, lawyers, athletes, and teachers. It was an honor to be able to share some of my thoughts with them to help in some small way with their journeys." Riccaboni added “It was such a thrill connecting with the kids. They were full of energy and had great questions. I hope our visit was as much fun for them as it was for us.”
