ROH 5 Count: Top Factions

As the old saying goes, there’s strength in numbers. Here’s a look at the top factions currently in ROH:

The lovable underdogs (Cheeseburger, Eli Isom and Ryan Nova) like to have fun, but they’re not a joke inside the ring. 3S has compiled an impressive 12-4 record (a .750 winning percentage) in six-man tag matches. In singles competition, Isom has shown that he can go toe-to-toe with the best ROH has to offer. Last month, the rising star nearly upset Shane Taylor for the ROH World Television Title.

Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Mandy Leon certainly know how to make an entrance -- and we’re not just talking about the titillating manner in which they get into the ring. The glamorous trio stormed onto the scene at ROH’s biggest show ever -- G1 Supercard in April before a sellout crowd at Madison Square Garden -- and laid out Kelly Klein moments after she had regained the Women of Honor World Title. Since then, The Allure have picked their spots, wrestling whenever they want and attacking whomever they want.

ROH World Champion Matt Taven, TK O’Ryan and Vinny Marseglia are three-time former ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champions and hold the record for most combined days with the belts (304). They were the inaugural six-man tag champions and are the only team to have held the titles on multiple occasions. This version of The Kingdom formed in 2016 and has been together longer than any other current faction in ROH. Most important of all, The Kingdom has the ROH World Championship in its camp.

This group came together at the beginning of 2019 with the goal of restoring honor to Ring of Honor. Although they’ve lost a few members, LifeBlood -- Bandido, Mark Haskins and “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams -- remains committed to their mission statement and has made significant strides. Whether in singles, traditional tag or six-man tag action, LifeBlood has enjoyed much success. Bandido is one of the hottest, most popular young stars in the sport, and Haskins and Williams have both taken ROH World Champion Matt Taven to the limit.

After “The Villain” Marty Scurll’s friends abandoned him at the end of 2018, he revealed that he had made some new ones: a pair of monsters in PCO and Brody King. Villain Enterprises has been nothing short of dominant ever since. Scurll, PCO and King have held the ROH World Six-Man TagTeam Titles since March, and during a three-week stretch (March 15-April 6) the faction also had the ROH World Tag Team Titles in their possession. Just when it seemed like Villain Enterprises couldn’t possibly be any stronger, Flip Gordon (aka “The Mercenary”) shocked the wrestling world by joining them after double-crossing LifeBlood.
