In Pittsburgh, New Champions Taven, Klein Speak Publicly For First Time Since Winning Titles

One week after the historic G1 Supercard at sold-out Madison Square Garden, fans in Pittsburgh will experience the immediate fallout when ROH makes its much-anticipated return to the Steel City!

Ring of Honor presents Steel City Excellence, an international television taping at Stage AE on Saturday, April 13. With a new ROH World Champion, new ROH World Tag Team Champions and new Women of Honor World Champion, there is no telling what may happen in Pittsburgh!

Two of those new titleholders -- ROH World Champion Matt Taven and WOH World Champion Kelly Klein -- will speak publicly for the first time since capturing their championships. Taven is scheduled to open the show.

There’s a strong chance that Taven, who has never been at a loss for words, will have plenty to say after winning the ROH World Championship in a Triple Threat Ladder Match over defending champion Jay Lethal and Marty Scurll. Don't be surprised to hear the words “I told you so” from the man who now truly is the real world champion.

Whether fans like it or not -- and there are plenty who don’t -- Taven has earned the right to boast. In addition to joining the likes of Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness and CM Punk as men who have held the ROH World Title, Taven became just the second Grand Slam champion in ROH history.

In contrast to Taven, Klein has displayed humility and sportsmanship as of late. Minutes after after defeating Mayu Iwatani to become the first competitor to regain the WOH World Title, an emotional Klein helped her rival to her feet and embraced her.

As Klein celebrated her hard-fought, historic victory, she was interrupted and subsequently attacked by The Allure, a new faction consisting of the debuting Angelina Love and Velvet Sky and WOH mainstay Mandy Leon. It’s unclear why The Allure targeted Klein.

What will Klein have to say about having a moment she had worked so hard for destroyed by Love, Sky and Leon? How many times will Taven refer to himself in the third person? Join us LIVE in Pittsburgh to find out!
