Ring of Honor returns to Baltimore for the first time in more than a year to present the Best In The World pay-per-view at the brand new UMBC Event Center on June 29. ROH also makes its Northern Virginia return for the first time in nearly eight years with an international television taping at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA on June 30.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling star KUSHIDA has been signed for both shows, ROH officials have announced.
KUSHIDA, who held the ROH World Television Title for more than four months last year after winning it from Marty Scurll and came up just short against then-ROH World Champion Cody at Global Wars in October, is a five-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and two-time winner of the prestigious Best of the Super Juniors tournament. The highly acclaimed competitor made his first appearance in ROH in 2013, defeating Adam Page at All Star Extravaganza V.
Best In The World will be headlined by a Triple Threat Match for the ROH World Title between champion Dalton Castle and Bullet Club members Cody and Scurll, and both events will feature stars from ROH, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and Stardom.
