Meet Japanese Wrestling Legend Katsuyori Shibata At War Of The Worlds Events

Japanese pro wrestling legend Katsuyori Shibata will sign autographs and take photos with fans during the meet and greet sessions on War of the Worlds tour stops in Buffalo, Toronto, Grand Rapids and Chicago next month.

Shibata, who broke into New Japan Pro-Wrestling alongside Hiroshi Tanahashi and Shinsuke Nakamura, was one of the top wrestlers in the sport for nearly two decades. The hard-hitting and highly decorated Shibata is a three-time former NEVER Openweight Champion, former IWGP heavyweight Tag Team Champion and 2017 New Japan Cup winner.

Currently, Shibata is the head coach at the New Japan Dojo in Los Angeles.

The War of the Worlds tour kicks off on May 8 in Buffalo, NY, and then heads to Toronto (May 9) and Grand Rapids, MI (May 11) before concluding in Chicago (May 12). The Buffalo, Toronto and Grand Rapids shows will stream live for HonorClub, while the Chicago event will be an international television taping.
