Jay Lethal, Kenny King To Compete In Best-Of-Three Series

In an effort to leave no doubt as to who truly is the better man, the ROH Board of Directors have ordered a best-of-three series between Jay Lethal and Kenny King.

The first match in the series takes place on this weekend’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling.” The previously announced match between Lethal and King for State of the Art in Kent, Was., on June 1, will be Match No. 2. If a third match is necessary, the date and site will be determined later.

On last weekend’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling,” everyone’s strong suspicion that King wasn’t really rendered blind by Great Muta’s mist was confirmed when King dropped the act and attacked Lethal from behind.

King has had a beef with Lethal since last November, when Lethal -- who was then the ROH World Champion -- defeated him at Global Wars. King believes he’s the uncrowned champion because he got a three count on Lethal during the match. What King fails to mention is that he had his feet on the ropes for leverage, and the referee immediately waved off the pin.

Lethal had been dismissive of King’s taunts, but after King blindsided him, King now has Lethal’s full attention.
