It’s EVIL Week On YouTube; ‘Royal’ Couple Appearing On ‘ROHStrong Podcast’

By Kevin Eck

To commemorate EVIL winning the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles at New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Dominion show earlier this week, Ring of Honor is showing some of his best matches in ROH on its YouTube channel.

Premiering Friday at 7 p.m. ET is a 10-man tag match pitting EVIL and his fellow members of Los Ingobernables de Japon against Bullet Club from Global Wars: UK in 2017. On Sunday night at 7 p.m. ET, the match between EVIL and Jeff Cobb from Global Wars in 2018 will premiere.

Uploaded to YouTube earlier this week was a Proving Ground Match from 2014 between a pre-EVIL Takaaki Watanabe against then-ROH World Television Champion Jay Lethal, and a 2016 tag match pitting EVIL and Tetsuya Naito against The Motor City Machine Guns.

You definitely don’t want to miss Episode 13 of the “ROHStrong Podcast,” which drops on Monday, July 20 and is available on most podcast platforms. One could say my two special guests are ROH royalty.

I’m bummed that the world’s most entertaining tag team, Dalton Castle and Joe Hendry, have had a falling out. However, something good has come from it, namely a fabulous music video from Castle.

A couple program reminders:

“ROH Roundtable” premieres on YouTube on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. The inaugural episode features Shane Taylor, Kenny King, Caprice Coleman, Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham discussing the Black Lives Matter movement and racism in pro wrestling with host Ian Riccaboni.

The Hana Kimura tribute episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” airs this weekend. Kimura’s mother, Kyoko, worked with ROH in putting together the show, which celebrates the life and career of her late daughter. Click here to find out when and where “Ring of Honor Wrestling” airs in your area.

Cheeseburger spoke about his friendship with Hana Kimura on legendary pro wrestling journalist Bill Apter’s “Apter Chat” on YouTube.

The second episode of “Roleplay of Honor” will be uploaded to YouTube on Saturday, July 25 at 7 p.m. Popular ROH on-air-personality Quinn McKay will be a special guest on the show.

Until next time, keep safe and stay #ROHStrong!
