Full recap of War of the Worlds Toronto

A standing-room-only, sell out crowd ignited the Ted Reeve Arena and helped Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling kick off the fourth-annual War of the Worlds Tour!

In the opening contest, Caprice Coleman and Rhett Titus of the Rebellion scored a big victory in their war with Search and Destroy when they defeated the Motor City Machine Guns with an assist from the Rebellion's clean up hitter, Shane Taylor. The Machine Guns will team with Jay White in six man tag action against the Rebellion and look to pick up a victory in this conflict in Dearborn!

Taylor, who was already ringside, called out former NEVER Openweight Champion Hirooki Goto! Goto made his way to the ring and defeated Taylor in a hard-fought, back and forth battle.

Dalton Castle and the Boys defeated the CHAOS trio of Gedo and the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Roppongi Vice. Bully Ray would score a pin on Hangman Page in a wild triple threat brawl that saw Ray, Page, and Punishment Martinez have an opportunity to win. And just ahead of the War of the Worlds Pay Per View this Friday at the Hammerstein Ballroom, "The American Nightmare" Cody picked up a win over 2016 Best of Super Juniors winner, Will Ospreay. Cody's win over the former ROH World Television Champion gives him momentum heading into the triple threat main event for the ROH World title in New York.

The IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI of Los Ingobernables de Japon picked up a tag team win over the Kingdom ahead of their ROH World Tag Team Championship opportunity against the Young Bucks on Friday! Taven looks to clear his head heading into War of the Worlds - Dearborn where he can become the first-ever ROH Grand Slam champion when he faces ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels!

And the Briscoes certainly had their eyes on that bout as they continued to climb back into title contention, looking for number nine with a win over Beer City Bruiser and Silas Young and Sanada and EVIL of Los Ingobernables de Japon!

Jay Lethal and KUSHIDA recaptured their magic of the first War of the Worlds Tour when they had an instant classic! KUSHIDA targeted Lethal's arm all evening and secured a Hoverboard Lock, earning a major victory at a time when he is looking to get his singles career back on track and compete for ROH gold. Lethal will need to shake off the loss heading into the triple threat Friday night!

And in the main event, "The Cleaner" Kenny Omega, with a IWGP Heavyweight Title shot in hand for June 11, scored a pinfall on the ROH World Champion Christopher Daniels following interference from Cody! Omega made his only appearance of the tour teaming with the Young Bucks to defeat the dream team of Tanahashi and the Addiction! Cody ended the night with the title held high!

The War of the Worlds Tour continues Wednesday in Dearborn! The main event of the pay per view will be finalized when Matt Taven challenges Daniels for the ROH World title!
