Former WOH World Champion To Return To Stardom

New Women of Honor World Champion Mayu Iwatani will defend the Women of Honor World Championship in Osaka on February 24 at the Osaka World Pavilion and it was announced via social media that former Women of Honor World Champion Sumie Sakai will be returning to STARDOM on the same card!

Sakai will be competing twice on February 24, first at Noon local time against AZM! A veteran of five years, AZM remains one of the youngest stars in STARDOM. AZM, pronounced ah-zoom-mi, is a product of the STARDOM Dojo and is a two-time Artist of STARDOM Six-Woman Championship, representing Queen’s Quest. The bout will be a major test for AZM and a homecoming for Sumie, who left Japan to carve her own path in the United States in 2002.

Sakai will also compete at 5 PM local time in a Four Corner Survival bout against Jamie Hayter, Natsuko Tora, and Alex Garcia! Jamie is a UK star who represents Oedo Tai in STARDOM, the most vicious of factions in the organization while Natsuko is a two-year veteran who has held tag team gold in the form of the Goddess of STARDOM and Arist of STARDOM Championships, and Alex is one of the fastest-rising prospects in all of wrestling.
