Ring of Honor star Chris Sabin is expected to be out of action for eight months to a year after an MRI exam revealed that the former ROH World Tag Team Champion suffered a complete ACL tear during a match at ROH’s international television taping in Atlanta on Jan. 12.
Sabin suffered the injury executing a super hurricanrana. He was unable to finish the match and was helped to the back.
Sabin had been scheduled to face Jay Lethal for the ROH World Title at Road to G1 Supercard in Houston this Friday, Jan. 25. He has been replaced in the match by The Kingdom’s Vinny Marseglia.
ROH wishes Sabin the best in his recovery.
