A sold-out crowd was trying to catch their breath following the main event of Manhattan Mayhem VI. Adam Cole retained his ROH World Championship against Bobby Fish in a back and forth match that saw Cole take Fish lightly early, Fish nearly putting Cole away with various submissions, and Cole escaping with the World Title. Following a classic title bout in front of the Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom faithful, Bullet Club emerged to celebrate. Fish, disappointed in his loss, confronted the Bullet Club members before they decided to attack the challenger 4-on-1.
Fish was in danger until the Briscoes emerged. Despite a temporary respite, Bullet Club once again used their numbers advantage to beat down Fish and the Briscoes.
And then, the equalizer emerged: Bully Ray shocked the Big Apple to its core, making his Ring of Honor debut, coming to the aid of Bobby Fish and the Briscoes, and planting ROH World Champion Adam Cole through a table!
Bully Ray, Fish, and the Briscoes warded off Bullet Club as the looks filled with confusion and surprise could be read on the faces of both the capacity crowd and the ROH stars in the ring. In the building where he built so much of his legacy, Bully Ray took to the mic to explain his appearance. Bully Ray explained that he was in Ring of Honor after weighing his options for the simple reason of wanting to compete with the top stars among the Best Wrestling on the Planet.
While there are more questions than answers, ROHWrestling.com can confirm that Bully Ray will be at the 15th Anniversary Pay Per View event and is working with the ROH Board of Directors to find an opponent.
To see Bully Ray’s shocking Ring of Honor debut, as well as the Hardys capturing the ROH World Tag Team Championship, keep it locked on ROHWrestling.com for the VOD of Manhattan Mayhem VI!
