Bandido Wins Battle Of Los Angeles

Bandido again showed why he is the fastest-rising star in pro wrestling by winning the prestigious Battle of Los Angeles tournament Sunday night.

The luchador outlasted Jonathan Gresham and David Starr in the three-way elimination finals. It came down to Bandido and Gresham after Gresham eliminated Starr. Bandido hit 21Plex on Gresham for the victory.

To reach the finals, Bandido defeated Brody King in the quarterfinals and Dragon Lee in the semifinals.

Bandido adds to his name to an impressive list of BOLA winners that includes Jeff Cobb (last year’s winner), Marty Scurll, Kenny Omega, Zack Sabre Jr., Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and El Generico.

Bandido enters Death Before Dishonor weekend in Las Vegas riding a wave of momentum. He and fellow LifeBlood member Mark Haskins face ROH World Tag Team Champions Jay and Mark Briscoe in a title match at the DBD pay-per-view on Friday, Sept. 27.

On Saturday, Sept. 28 at DBD Fallout, Bandido faces Jay Lethal in a first-time-ever dream match in the opening round of the Final Battle No. 1 Contender Tournament.
