10 Questions With... Angelina Love

Angelina Love, the “badass” of The Allure, reveals her list of hidden talents, her thoughts on ROH backstage correspondent Quinn McKay, and her message to Women of Honor World Champion Kelly Klein ahead of their title match at Death Before Dishonor in Las Vegas on Sept. 27.

1. What’s the best advice you’ve been given about the wrestling business and who gave it to you?

I’ve been fortunate to be given so much great advice by so many people over the years that I’ve taken it all into account and learned from it -- and did things my way anyways.

2. What’s a subject you’d like to know more about?

How people with incredibly powerful tools like our human brains could possibly be so obtuse.

3. Do you have any hidden talents?

Many actually. I’m a medical esthetician/skin care specialist, makeup artist and hair stylist, a pretty decent cook, and raise an incredible child. Others are none of your business!

4. Do you have a favorite cheat food?

To be perfectly honest, I have rocket fuel for metabolism so I can eat pretty much anything I want. I eat very healthy by choice but wouldn’t ever turn away salt and vinegar chips or some cheesecake!

5. What’s on your bucket list?

Going to Australia was on my bucket list but I got to go there last summer and it was amazing. As of right now, I’m not sure.

6. What’s something that’s popular that you don’t see the appeal of?

High-waisted pants, slang terms that aren’t actual words, these weird online challenges like throwing cheese in your infant’s face, just to name a few

7. What’s your strangest fan encounter?

Unfortunately, I had a stalker in the UK give me some of the most uncomfortable experiences ever. One experience was when he flew from London to Las Vegas to watch one of my fitness competitions and somehow knew what hotel we were staying in and where we would be at every moment. Came to breakfast buffet and sat at our table and also walked 10 steps behind us on the strip the following day. He recorded me on stage in my bikini. Bought me diamond earrings and left them at the front desk of my hotel. Got on my Facebook page and started asking me about family members in my photos (my page is now private). Waited by a slot machine by the front doors of the hotel at 4 a.m. when I was leaving to almost knock me over with hugs before I flew home. There were more encounters with him but that was definitely one of the worst.

8. Why are you, Velvet Sky and Mandy Leon so mean to Quinn McKay?

Are we mean or is she just an annoying, bowtie-wearing nerd?

9. You’re a six-time former world champion. What would it mean to you to win the Women of Honor World Title?

It would mean a lot to me. I worked a few shows for Ring of Honor back in 2004 and now being back here again with so much more time and experience under my belt gives me a tremendous hunger to show everyone here, and continue to show the entire world, why I am one of the best women’s wrestlers ever. I am champion material, always have been and always will be.

10. If Kelly Klein is reading this -- and she probably is -- what message do you have for her?

I think The Allüre have sent enough messages to Kelly over the past five months, but in case it’s still not crystal clear to her yet, your time is winding down, Kelly. Shine that championship belt up for me because it’s coming home to mama.
