ROH World Tag Team Championship Match

2 GUYS 1 TAG

LETHAL & GRESHAM

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- ROH World Television Champion Dragon Lee nearly walked out of Bound By Honor at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium Friday night as a double title-holder, but ROH World Champion PCO ultimately prevailed in an epic clash to retain his title.

After the match, NWA World Champion Nick Aldis, who had been sitting in on commentary during the match, entered the ring and had a brief staredown with PCO. They will face each other at Supercard of Honor on April 4.

There’s no rest for PCO, who will put his championship on the line tonight against former ROH World Champion RUSH and Mark Haskins in a Triple Threat Match at Gateway To Honor in St. Louis.

Here are the complete results from Bound By Honor:

Marty Scurll defeated Bandido and Slex in a Triple Threat Match

These three ultra-talented competitors got the show off to a hot start.

Scurll went for a sunset flip on Slex from the apron, but Slex held onto the ropes. Bandido came up behind Slex and hit 21 Plex on him, but Scurll immediately hit Black Plague on Bandido to pick up the victory.

After the match, Shane Taylor and Soldiers of Savagery (Moses and Kaun) hit the ring and jumped Slex. Taylor hit a package piledriver on him.

Dalton Castle and Joe Hendry defeated PJ Black and Brian Johnson, LifeBlood (Mark Haskins and Tracy Williams) and The Righteous (Vincent and Bateman w/Chuckles and Vita Von Starr) in a Four Corner Survival Match

After a series of high-impact moves from multiple competitors, Hendry hit a Codebreaker on Johnson, and Castle followed with the Denouement for the win. Castle and Hendry haven’t always been in sync in their matches, but they definitely were here.

Nicole Savoy defeated The Allure’s Angelina Love (w/Mandy Leon)

Savoy kept applying submission moves but Love repeatedly found a way to escape. After Savoy applied a single-leg crab in the middle of the ring, Leon jumped up on the apron to distract Savoy, who released the hold to confront her. Love tried to take advantage by attacking Savoy from behind, but Savoy moved and Love inadvertently nailed Leon. Savoy then rolled up Love to secure a big win over the seven-time former world champion.

Villain Enterprises’ Flip Gordon and Brody King defeated La Faccion Ingobernable’s RUSH and Kenny King (w/Amy Rose) by disqualification

It didn’t take long for this match between rival factions to degenerate into a heated brawl. After the action spilled to the floor, RUSH grabbed a camera chord and wrapped it around Brody King’s neck, causing a disqualification.

The fight continued after the match, as Kenny King nailed Gordon with a chair. Brody King and Gordon recovered and fought back. Chaos broke out, and half a dozen members of security ran out to pull the four men apart. It was subsequently announced that both teams had been ejected from the building.

Eli Isom and LSG went to a no-contest

Several minutes into the match, Bully Ray came out and attacked both men, and the referee called for the bell. Bully powerbombed LSG through the announce table and then ambushed Isom.

Bully grabbed a microphone and said he’s going into business for himself. He said he knows the fans want ROH to get rid of him, but he has an iron-clad contract and isn’t going anywhere. He said if anyone can beat him, he’ll leave on his own, but he knows the veterans won’t step up because he has dirt on all of them.

After Bully started back up the aisle, an irate Isom grabbed the microphone in the ring and challenged Bully to face him right now. Bully entered the ring and the impromptu match was on.

Bully Ray defeated Eli Isom

A fired-up Isom went right after Bully with a flurry of offense. Isom hit a Scorpio Splash off the top rope for a near fall. Bully answered with a Bubba Bomb to escape with the win.

After the match, Bully grabbed a chair. Before he could use it as a weapon, Cheeseburger came out, but Bully shut him down with a kick to the face. Bully nailed Isom in the back with the chair. Color commentator Caprice Coleman hit the ring and went after Bully, who quickly exited.

ROH World Tag Team Title Match: Champions Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham defeated 2 Guys 1 Tag (Silas Young and Josh Woods)

As the challengers made their way to the ring, Lethal and Gresham attacked them from behind. Lethal clipped Young’s left knee with one of the championship belts.

Lethal and Gresham targeted Young’s knee throughout the match, but “Pro Wrestling’s Last Real Man” proved resilient. Lethal hit Lethal Injection on Young, and Gresham followed with a spectacular Shooting Star Press, yet Young somehow managed to kick out just in time. Gresham went for a figure-four leglock on Young, but Young turned it into an inside cradle. While the referee was momentarily distracted, Lethal reversed the leverage on the pin attempt, and Gresham held Young down for the three count.

Alex Shelley defeated Rey Horus

Shelley and ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Title co-holder Horus engaged in an intense match with a lot of outstanding technical wrestling and hard strikes. In the end, Shelley locked on the Border City Stretch and forced Horus to tap out.

Jay and Mark Briscoe defeated Jeff Cobb and Dan Maff

This match was every bit as hard-hitting as one would expect given who the four competitors were. At one point, Cobb and Maff teamed up to hit a huge pop-up cutter on Jay Briscoe. Had Mark Briscoe not made the save, that likely would’ve been the end of the match. Shortly thereafter, Jay Briscoe hit a Jay Driller on Cobb, and Mark Briscoe followed with Froggy Bow for the win.

Since Cobb and Maff are owed an ROH World Tag Team Title shot by virtue of their win over Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham at Free Enterprise three weeks ago, the Briscoes have now put themselves in line for a championship match with this victory.

ROH World Title Match: Champion PCO defeated ROH World Television Champion Dragon Lee

After several minutes of back-and-forth action, PCO hit a moonsault, but Lee shockingly kicked out. Lee came back with a package piledriver for a near fall. He then hit two Incinerator knee strikes to the face (he removed his knee pad for the second one) for a near fall. Lee followed with another knee strike to the back of PCO’s head for a near fall. PCO rallied and hit a tombstone piledriver before finishing off Lee with another moonsault.
