A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes

By Brawler Milonas

Sorry for the title. I’m a Disney nerd and I was trying to think of something clever to go along with the theme of today’s blog. We all have our dream matches, every single one of us.

There are different approaches for them, too. Thinking back to my childhood, my dream would’ve consisted of teaming up with The Hulkster to take on the likes of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff, Andre The Giant and the entire Heenan Family. From a historical perspective, once I got into wrestling I think a run on top against Hogan as a famed “Monster of the Month” would’ve been amazing (and quite profitable). For the purposes of this blog today, I’m going to keep things in the present.

Fantasy matchups are fun to talk about and even more fun when they become a reality. Think about some of the creations of your mind. Now think about when some of them happened. How exciting is that? Same thing goes for us in wrestling. We have fantasy matchups in our minds. We play them out, in full, as well.

When I think about Ring of Honor and the collection of talent we have, it gives me chills. To this day I’m still in awe when I look around the locker room. I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface of what I’m capable of in ROH. For fans that have followed me prior to coming here, you know exactly what I’m capable of! At this level, you have to believe you belong, and more importantly, you have to believe you’re one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet. I do and I do. So without further ado, and submitted with a wink and a nod to the powers that be, here are my top 10 (five tag and five singles) dream match opponents in ROH!

Tag Teams

  1. Guerillas of Destiny

  2. Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham

  3. Marty Scrull & Flip Gordon

  4. MexiSquad

  5. Mark Haskins & Tracy Williams

Singles

  1. Bandido

  2. Lethal

  3. Matt Taven

  4. Dan Maff

  5. Haskins

Well, there are my lists! Let me know what you think. More importantly, let Ring of Honor know what you think! Once we get back to work, it’s full steam ahead for The Bouncers and for me personally. I can’t wait!
