06/01/13 – San Antonio Texas
ROH Title(s) Held:
Destructive and intense are two words that can be used to describe Raymond Rowe, but there is much more to this tattooed athlete that make him even scarier. He is a skilled former coach and wrestling in Folk/freestyle/Greco-Roman wrestling. He is well versed in muay thai kickboxing and jiu jitsu. The Cleveland, Ohio native took to pro wrestling in his formative years and has never looked back.
Debuting for Ring of Honor in June 2013 in his adopted state of Texas, the man who is known for his strong throws made an immediate impact! He was invited to take part in the 2014 Ring of Honor Top Prospect Tournament. Rowe made it to the finals to face someone who he will forever be linked with in Ring of Honor, Hanson. It was compared to King Kong colliding with Godzilla. Hanson would win the tournament, but a mutual respect brought created a bond that fans of ROH see today in the duo known as War Machine.
War Machine would start blazing a trail before a near fatal accident derailed Rowe. He was involved in a motorcycle accident that doctors told him should have killed him in August 2014. Rowe suffered major damage to his left arm, face, and neck; most thought this was the end of War Machine. In February 2015, after months of intense rehab and physical therapy, to the surprise of everyone, Raymond Rowe would return to Ring of Honor. War Machine was back.
The hard hitting duo have blazed a path that has left many broken bodies in its wake. Ring of Honor’s tag team division isn’t the only one that has to be worried as they have also competed in Pro Wrestling NOAH of Japan, which saw them nearly return home as Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC Tag Team Champions.
If a motorcycle accident couldn’t stop Raymond Rowe, what are the chances a human can? Winning the ROH World Tag Team Championships and dominating the tag team division in Ring of Honor is the goal for War Machine. Can anyone really stop them?
