02/25/06 – ROH 4th Anniversary - Edison, New Jersey
ROH Title(s) Held
At 6’4” and 264 pounds, Hanson is an imposing figure in Ring of Honor; a bearded warrior that mixes a variety of power moves and explosive strikes. What makes him even more intimidating is that he combines that power and explosiveness with surprising agility.
The New England veteran first appeared in Ring of Honor in 2006. A bright future was heralded, but at the time he still had much to learn about battle in the ring. 2014 saw the dawn of a new day as he returned to Ring of Honor and won the 2014 Top Prospect tournament. Hanson won the tournament by defeating Raymond Rowe.
Hanson and Rowe would forge a tag team based on sharing the same interest: destruction! They would be dubbed ‘War Machine” and most experts felt they were destined to be ROH World Tag Team Champions. However, a near-fatal motorcycle accident in late 2014 took Rowe out of commission, leaving Hanson to go it alone.
Hanson proved himself to be just as impressive in singles competition, facing and defeating some of the top stars in Ring of Honor. In February 2015, Raymond Rowe would make his return, putting the ROH tag team division on notice.
The hard hitting team have blazed a path that has left many broken bodies in its wake. Ring of Honor’s tag team division isn’t the only one that has to be worried as they have also competed in Pro Wrestling NOAH of Japan, which saw them nearly return home as Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC Tag Team Champions.
Hanson & Raymond Rowe often draw comparisons to legendary tag teams of the past, like The Road Warriors and Demolition. They are flattered by the comparisons, but will look to usher in their own brand of destruction and create history!
