Davey Richards began his trek towards Ring of Honor greatness in June of 2006 with a victory, and set the stage for the next few years of his career. As a member of The No Remorse Corps, Davey captured his first ROH World Tag Title and although that reign was short-lived, it gave fans a taste of just how good of a tag specialist Richards could be. Davey’s next taste of championship gold came when he, along with his American Wolves partner Eddie Edwards, claimed the ROH World Tag Titles in a Tables Match. That reign lasted for 8 months and helped to redefine the tag team division in Ring of Honor.
Davey captured the Ring of Honor World Championship in a near-40 minute grueling, emotional war against Eddie at “Best in the World 2011” and with his a multi-faceted abilities, Richards used his unique combination of amateur wrestling, Muay Thai kicks and Jiu-jitsu submissions to hold the title for 321 days with 10 successful defenses in that time before he was defeated at “Border Wars” by Kevin Steen. With the ROH World Title essentially being the center of his life, the main reason for his existence, the question that Davey must ask himself, the ones that fans are also wondering, where does he go from here?
