BJ Whitmer has seen some of the highest high’s and the lowest low’s in his Ring of Honor career since his first appearance in 2003.  From his early beginnings looking to making a name for himself, Whitmer got his first brush with success when he challenged Samoa Joe for the World Title at “Wrath of the Racket” in August 2003.  From there his life became a whirlwind of multiple tag title reigns alongside Dan Maff as a member of The Prophecy and then with Jimmy Jacobs before their friendship dissolved.  That end led to a very violent path for both men, a path that saw Whitmer break his ankle but ultimately recover only to be defeated by Jacobs inside a Steel Cage at “Supercard of Honor II”.  A lengthy losing streak found Whitmer falling sway and serving a stint as a member of The Hangmen 3 before being put out of Ring of Honor in early 2008.

Then, at “Rise & Prove” in February of 2012, BJ made his much-demanded return to the fold to take on then-TV Champion Jay Lethal in a Proving Ground match.  Looking refreshed, renewed, and revitalized, Whitmer gave Lethal a tough fight and it took 14:40 of the 15 minute time limit for Jay to get the win.  BJ has since renewed his rivalry with Jacobs as a result of assisting El Generico at “Unity” and fighting Kevin Steen at “Rising Above 2012”.  Whitmer looks as good, if not better, than he ever has in the last 9 years and his future in Ring of Honor is brighter than ever as well…
