Elimination Match: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe, Tetsuya Naito & Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Bullet Club (Bad Luck Fale, Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows & Tama Tonga)
An elimination match featuring many of the NJPW stars who will be at GLOBAL WARS and WAR OF THE WORLDS. But for some ROH fans, Dontaku may be your first look at Bullet Club! The numbers always in their favor, the ranks of the Bullet Club continue to grow. In an unfamiliar twist, eliminations in an NJPW elimination match can come over the top rope in addition to more familiar means.
Shinsuke Nakamura & Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Daniel & Rolles Gracie
This match is advertised as Pro Wrestling vs. Jiu-Jitsu, and the makeup of the teams shows you why. "King of Strong Style" Shinsuke Nakamura was one of the absolute most requested talents when the NJPW-ROH collaboration was first announced. And one of the most anticipated match ups comes on May 17, when he takes on either Adam Cole or Kevin Steen in NYC! Regardless of the opponent, this will be another definite styles clash for Nakamura, who is renowned for submissions and brutal knee strikes.
IWGP Heavyweight Title Match
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. A.J. Styles
Last month, AJ Styles shocked the world by when he came to NJPW and joined the Bullet Club. But on May 3rd, he has the opportunity to become the IWGP Heavyweight Champion and change the entire landscape of pro wrestling! If Styles defeats Okada, he will be bringing the title with him to North America - and to WAR OF THE WORLDS!
Right now, Michael Elgin is guaranteed an historic IWGP title shot on May 17th at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Everyone assumed that match would be against Okada. But if AJ Styles becomes champion on May 3rd, HE will defend against Elgin in New York! Elgin and Styles are in the midst of a war, battling each other in incredible matches. Adding the IWGP Heavyweight Title to the mix might blow the roof off the Hammerstein! Styles vs. Okada will have a huge impact on the ROH-NJPW shows regardless of the outcome!
