Tag Team Title Tournament Update

Read inside for the current standings...
As seen over the weekend on “Ring of Honor Wrestling TV”, available here to Ringside Members, Charlie Haas claimed that the original All Night Express title victory at “Best in the World 2012: Hostage Crisis: was a complete fluke and that after Shelton took out Kenny King with a chair, Kenny left with his tail tucked.

Haas suggested that, since Shelton Benjamin is suspended for that attack, Cornette should have had Rhett Titus versus Charlie Haas with the winner getting both of the tag titles for themselves. Titus eventually made his way to the ring and joined in to argue with Charlie. Both men were on a mission to find partners for the tournament when Haas offered that he and Rhett team up since they were the only 2 men in the tournament that can actually have a legit argument on who deserves the belts.

Haas explained that after they make their way through the tournament and win the titles together, then they will have a singles match for the titles where whoever wins will be able to hand the other belt over to a partner of their choosing. Titus agreed to this arrangement and you will see these 2 men team up this coming weekend on “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV.

Now that Haas has convinced Titus to take him as a partner, it left an open spot in the 8-Team tournament. For some reason unknown to ROHWrestling.com, that final spot has been given to S.C.U.M represented by Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino. More details on how they managed to receive this opportunity from Jim Cornette will apparently air this weekend on ROH TV.

Here are the standings of the tournament as of right now:

BRACKET 1

The Young Bucks vs. C & C – C & C win and head to Chicago on 9/15

The Bravados vs. Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs

Tickets for that event can be ordered here or it will be made available on iPPV for those of you who can't make it. Who will come out of this tourney as the champions? Stay tuned to ROH to find out!!!
