Yesterday we started announcing the entrants into this year's “Survival of the Fittest” tournament, beginning with ROH World TV Champion Adam Cole, and we will continue to name the competitors for the next several weeks. Today, entering into his 2nd SOTF tourney after winning it all in his first shot, entrant number two is “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin! Elgin defeated Kyle O'Reilly in the finals last year but, in an interesting turn of events, will be competing in this year's edition before having received his title shot from his victory last year. That title match is currently scheduled for “Glory by Honor XI” in Mississauga on October 13th.

The case of Michael Elgin will be quite an interesting one should he capture the SOTF crown on September 22nd in Baltimore and go on to win the ROH World Title on 10/13 live on iPPV. That will be a situation ROH officials will have to wait to address if it comes to it pass, for now Elgin is just one of the men in the field who could make history by winning SOTF for the second time.
