ROH Tryout Camp: The Path to Success

By Kevin Kelly
Ring of Honor is hosting its next Tryout Camp on August 4thand 5th in Bristol, PA and the goal of this camp is simple: Find new stars.

ROH takes this very seriously and has used camps in the past to find stars like “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin, “The Prodigy Mike Bennett and “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa. In fact, over 15 wrestlers who have attended ROH Tryout Camps have gotten matches on TV and Live Events.

If you attend the camp on the 4th and 5th, not only will you be tested on your abilities but also coached on making improvements. My focus at the camp is how well you speak on camera. ROH has a weekly television show seen by over one million fans every week and if you’ve seen the TV show, you know great matches are just part of the promotion. Can you sell the audience on YOU?

What’s your story? Be ready to tell it in a minute and FORCE Ring of Honor to NOTICE YOU!

The two-day Tryout Camp affords you the opportunity to make improvements based upon feedback. How well you improve the second day is important to your evaluation. In-ring drills show conditioning and fundamentals. Matches you’ll compete in show how well you apply your fundamentals and conditioning to create a compelling physical story.

What YOU bring to the Tryout Camp is everything you’ve learned so far in your career. At the end of the Tryout Camp, you’ll be a better, more well-rounded professional wrestler.

ROH isn’t looking for bodybuilders or guys who think they can “be taught” how to wrestle. Ring of Honor is looking for professional wrestlers who have been begging for a chance to be seen and appreciated for being a PROFESSIONAL WRESTLER!
