Coming off his stellar victory over Kyle O’Reilly at “Best in the World 2012: Hostage Crisis” on June 24th, Adam Cole stepped into The Du Burns Arena this past Friday with one goal in mind: to claim the ROH World TV Title held by Roderick Strong.
The two had a previous one-on-one meeting at “The Homecoming 2012” in January under No Holds Barred rules that Strong won, but saw the fans in Philadelphia give Cole a standing ovation for his efforts.
This time, thanks to the combination of a superkick & Straightjacket German Suplex, the fans applauded Cole as he dethroned Strong, his reign coming to an end after 90 days and 3 successful defenses. This is the championship Cole has held in Ring of Honor, and as evident by his words following the victory, it is one he aims to hold for a long time to come.
ROH returns to The Du Burns Arena on August 3rd for another round of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV Tapings and you can bet that Cole will be more than willing to defend his belt that night, and any night! Tickets for our Baltimore return are available here!!
