Originally scheduled to go down on July 28th in Spartanburg, Homicide challenging Kevin Steen for the ROH World Title was left in limbo following the unfortunate cancellation of that event. To say that Homicide had been hounding ROH officials since that announcement would be the definition of understatement.
His question never changed: when am I getting my shot?
Well following this weekend ROH officials have now set the date for “The Notorious 187” Homicide to get his opportunity and it will go down on August 3rd when ROH returns to Baltimore for another round of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV Tapings!
“I wasn't gonna stop.” said Homicide to ROHWrestling.com, “I wasn't gonna stop hounding Jim Cornette and Ring of Honor until I got my chance to get my belt back, to get the Ring of Homicide World Title back. Kevin Steen, I don't like you man, I don't like the b*****s you hang out with. Come on, anyone who's boys with Steve Corino, you automatically become a punk ass p*****. I owned Corino, I own you too Kevin, you ain't never beat me and you ain't never fought someone who's crazier than you. You think you know crazy Steen? You don't know nothing about real crazy, about the kind of crazy that growing up where I grew up makes. That World Title wants to come home to Bed-Stuy Kevin, it's been away too long...and Kevin you better tell your little group of **** to mind their own business...unless they want a fork sticking out their forehead.”
Since capturing the title at “Border Wars” Keivin Steen has turned back the challenges of three former World Champions; Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, and Roderick Strong have all fallen before him but one thing none of those men had was the win-loss record Homicide holds over Steen. They have only met twice one-on-one in ROH, but both times it was “The Notorious 187” who had his hand raised in victory. Will the original Rottweiler go 3 for 3 on August 3rd? Be there live to find out!!!
