FEBRUARY 26TH NEWSWIRE

- The world is talking about the relationship between Ring of Honor Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling that was announced during the first-ever #HonorCon fan expo in Philadelphia last Saturday afternoon. Both organizations have joined forces to produce 2 super shows on May 10th in Toronto and May 17th in Manhattan! We are projecting a sell out for each event so HURRY before tickets are all gone! This is truly a something special. Click HERE to buy tickets for GLOBAL WARS at the Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto and click HERE to buy tickets for WAR OF THE WORLDS in NYC at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

- Thank you to everyone who celebrated our 12th Anniversary with us last weekend in Philadelphia. The events were a huge success as we continue to produce the best wrestling on the planet. The VOD of last Friday's event is available NOW right HERE and matches from last Saturday's taping will begin airing March 15th.

- We would also like to thank the Philadelphia Daily News, Philadelphia Inquirer and Philly.com for covering the 12th Anniversary weekend of events, including both of our stacked shows and the first-ever HonorCon.  In fact, the Philadelphia Daily News spotlighted ROH in a Features article last Friday.

- Although Unsanctioned by Ring of Honor, the Kevin Steen vs. Cliff Compton Philly Street Fight has been added onto the VOD/DVD as an extra.

- This week on ROH TV you have the opportunity to see the incredible Jay Lethal vs. AJ Styles match that happened last Friday at the 12th Anniversary.

- Last Saturday at the 12th Anniversary, ROH World Champion Adam Cole successfully  defended his title against "Knockout Artist" Chris Hero.  But the result was not without controversy.  In the closing moments of the contest, Hero managed to make Adam Cole tap out but the referee was incapacitated and unable to call for the bell. Due to the controversial nature of this world title defense, Head Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness has decided that Hero must receive another ROH World Title shot. Since Hero pinned Cole at Wrestling's Finest and got a visual tap out last Saturday, Nigel wants to ensure a winner... so at Raising the Bar Night 2 on March 8th in Chicago Ridge, IL  it will be a RINGMASTER'S CHALLENGE match! The Ringmaster's Challenge plays out in 3 distinct phases of action: 1st fall: Pin fall only. 2nd fall: Submission only. 3rd Fall (if necessary): 15 minute Iron man with Sudden Death Overtime if necessary To purchase tickets for Chicago, click HERE.

- At Raising the Bar Night 1 on March 7th in Milwaukee, it's the biggest opportunity in Matt Taven's career.... Matt Taven vs. Adam Cole in an ROH World Title match! Matt Taven said it himself that he's BEATEN Adam Cole and Cole has yet to defeat him. Cole is a former ROH World Television Champion and he lost that title to Taven at last years 11th Anniversary and judging from the recent confrontation, neither man has forgotten their past animosity. Regardless of the outcome, Matt Taven's challenge has already proven he's raising the bar in a way many thought impossible when he was surrounded by the pageantry of the Hoopla. The evolution of Matt Taven continues in Milwaukee, and you can order tickets right HERE.

- Speaking of Matt Taven, last Saturday during the Taven vs. Silas Young match, Truth Martini came out to commentary in an attempt to explain his future agenda. After the match, Taven offered his hand to Silas but Silas attacked him and left him laying. Truth got in the ring applauding and approved of Silas, however Silas refused to shake Truth's hand and left alone. Taven's animosity with Truth remains and seems to have escalated with Silas.

- Unfortunately Matt Hardy did not make it to the 12th Anniversary due to a canceled flight. His opponent for the night, Michael Elgin, stated that he did not trust this excuse and speculated that Hardy was scared to face him. Elgin went on to say that he has been impressed with the new prospects in ROH and with Hardy gone there are people in the locker room ready to step up. Elgin then challenged newcomer Raymond Rowe to a match and an opportunity to make a name for himself. Elgin recently watched the Finals of the Top Prospect Tournament from ringside as it was going on and was obviously impressed with the competition. Elgin was even more impressed after his match with Rowe last Friday and has officially endorsed Rowe as one to watch out for.

- Adam Cole and Michael Bennett have formed an alliance over the last couple of events and their common goal seems to be focused on hurting the Briscoe Brothers. With Bennett and Maria's infatuation with power and status, there is no better wrestler to currently align yourself with than the ROH World Champion. Matt Hardy is supposedly very pleased with the Cole-Bennett alliance and sees both men as the current best and the future of the industry. Hardy will return to ROH on April 4th in New Orleans.

- Outlaw Inc. (Eddie Kingston & Homicide) have returned to ROH after their suspension and claim to be recruiting for a new member. In addition, Outlaw Inc. feel they deserve an ROH World Tag Team Title rematch based off of the finish of their Final Battle 2013 match against reDRagon. Adrenaline RUSH also have a credible argument that they deserve a rematch after taking reDRagon to the limit last Friday.

- The New Merchandise Roll Out has returned right HERE! Check out the 5 BRAND NEW T-Shirts this week including The DECADE, Keep Calm & Man Up, Michael Elgin: Fear The Mullet, Jay Briscoe: Break The Rules and #DEMBOYS Camo.

- Michael Elgin walked out of #HonorCon last Saturday afternoon as the first ever ROH Arm Wrestling Champion when he defeated Tommaso Ciampa in the finals. Ringside Members be on the lookout for the entire tournament right here at rohwrestling.com

- During #HonorCon, many of the stars of ROH conducted a very insightful and entertaining Q&A panel. That will also be coming to the Ringside section of rohwrestling.com soon!

- The current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team champions, The Young Bucks have the opportunity to win the ROH Tag Team Titles on March 8th and if victorious they will go back to Japan holding both sets of championship gold. The recent hand injury suffered by Matt Jackson in Japan will not keep him from competing at Raising the Bar Nights 1 & 2 but it could easily hurt their chances of victory.

- The FUTURE OF HONOR was also announced at #HonorCon last Saturday afternoon. The FUTURE OF HONOR will be small events consisting exclusively of ROH seminar/try-out students, ROH Dojo graduates, and select ROH wrestling stars. Our goal is to allow professional wrestlers who are potential Ring of Honor future stars the opportunity to compete in the ring in officially sanctioned ROH matches under the banner FUTURE OF HONOR. The first FUTURE OF HONOR event will take place on April 18th. More details soon including ticket information and lineup.

- The ROH World Television Champion Tommaso Ciampa is currently embarking on an international tour of Europe and the TV Title will be defended outside of North America for the very first time in its history! THIS Friday on February 28th, Ciampa will be defending the ROH World TV Championship at WXW in Germany against Freddy Stahl (replacing his originally scheduled opponent 2Face) and on March 2nd, it's ROH TV Champion Tommaso Ciampa vs. Kris Travis at Southside Wrestling "Battle of the Egos 4!" Tommaso Ciampa has set his sights on a long, dominant World TV Title reign and he wants to establish the "world" in ROH World Television Champion. Footage of these international challenges will air on a future episode of ROH TV.

- AJ Styles will return to ROH on March 22nd in Dayton, Ohio at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds and we are in the process of signing his opponent this week!
