DECEMBER 18TH NEWSWIRE

- We want to thank all of the great fans who joined us last Sunday in New York City and on iPPV for “Final Battle 2012: Doomsday”! Everybody in Ring of Honor from the staff to the wrestlers are still feeling the after effect and it will certainly go down as one of the most memorable nights in ROH history! The entire card is receiving rave reviews and we guarantee that fans are in for an incredible 2013! This is pro wrestling at its best and Honor Lives! If for some reason you missed “Final Battle 2012: Doomsday” you can check out the replay of this great event right HERE.

- The wind-up last Sunday was an astonishing battle between arch enemies for the most prestigious championship in all of wrestling. Ladder War IV lived up to all of the hype but unfortunately El Generico was unable to dethrone World Champion Kevin Steen. Regardless of what ROH officials think of Steen, both he and Generico gave everything they had and deserve all of the credit in the world. Both competitors received medical attention after the bout and are very banged up but will be okay. The match was truly a spectacle and up for debate as a possible match of the year.

- Honor took a step forward at being restored as Mark and Jay Briscoe are now the 8 time ROH Tag Team Champions after defeating Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino last Sunday at "Final Battle 2012". Jay said after the bout that it is now their goal to restore the tag division as the best tag division in the world and he challenged any tag team that wants a shot to step up.

- One team that doesn't have to step up though is Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander as Jay also told those two warriors that they had EARNED a shot at the belts and The Briscoes guaranteed C&C the first shot at the Dem Boys newly won titles.  That title match has quickly been signed and will go down on January 5th when we start the new year with a TV Taping in Baltimore!  Read HERE for all the details and click HERE to order your tickets!

- BJ Whitmer was victim to a horrendous belly-to-belly suplex off of the top rope through a table last Sunday from Charlie Haas. BJ went head first through the wood and many feared for his life. Fortunately, BJ is like superman and will be okay in due time! Whitmer definitely suffered neck trauma and with a history of neck problems, it is recommended that he take time off from the ring.

- Also suffering an injury at "Final Battle 2012" was Shelton Benjamin who re-injured his ribs after both he and Rhett Titus went through a table on the floor. It is also recommended that Shelton take time off from the ring.

- Nigel McGuinness has stated that he will comment on the Jay Lethal incident in Baltimore on January 5th but for now Lethal is NOT suspended and will continue to be on upcoming lineups.

- Jerry Lynn!

- Our last "Tuesday Rollout" of the year features a new 2-Disc DVD compilation putting on spotlight on Claudio Castagnoli! "Claudio Castagnoli: The Swiss Sensation" features 22 matches from the 2005-2008 era of Double C's ROH career including his debut against Nigel McGuinness as well as battles with El Generico, Takeshi Morishima, Bryan Danielson, and more!  Click HERE to order yours now!
