Complete “Killer Instinct” Results

Chaos reigned in Rahway...

Ring of Honor returned to New Jersey on Saturday October 6th for “Killer Instinct” at the Rahway Recreation Center. Featuring Steen vs. Lethal for the ROH World Title, the night ended in a chaotic situation that will have to be seen to really grasp what happened...

Here are the complete results:

1.“Unbreakable” Michael Elgin defeated “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett w/ Maria Kanellis

2.Lancelot & Harlem Bravado beat 3.0 (Scott "Jagged" Parker and "Big Magic" Shane Matthews)

3.Bobby Fish pinned QT Marshall

4.ROH World Tag Title Elimination Match: SCUM (Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino beat WGTT (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) and Rhett Titus & BJ Whitmer; WGTT were eliminated first but Haas ended up being a deciding factor as he hit Titus with a chair to the back, setting him up for a backdrop driver from Corino

5.Roderick Strong pinned Kyle O’Reilly

6.No Time Limit: Davey Richards submitted Mike Mondo; Following the match, Richards told Mondo that he had earned his respect

7.Jay & Mark Briscoe beat ROH World TV Champion Adam Cole & Eddie Edwards after a Doomsday Device on Cole

8.ROH World Title Match: Kevin Steen vs. Jay Lethal ended in a No Contest after Steen spit on Lethal's mother at ringside; The match was an amazing must-see battle until Steen began trash talking Jay Lethal's family who were at ringside which led to Jay's mom throwing a soda at the champion.

While this is certainly not the behavior tolerated from fans, Steen's reaction of spitting on Lethal's mom was not any better and led to total chaos. Lethal assaulted Steen outside the ring, yelling words not fit for print here, and it led to Jim Cornette, Corino, Jacobs, referees, and security all attempting to get involved to end the chaos. SCUM were eventually separated from Lethal, Steen tearing down a piece of the entryway on his way out & swearing he wasn't coming back, while Lethal began to trash anything in sight around the ringside area. Throwing chairs, flipping tables, attempting to go after anyone who came near him, it was obvious Lethal had lost all control as he headed to the locker room area.

On behalf of all of us at Ring of Honor, Bobby Cruise apologized for the chaos, the language, and confusion and announced the official ruling as a No Contest to the dismay of not only the fans in attendance, but also all of us here at ROH. Unfortunately, as stated yesterday the situation escalated further when Lethal assaulted several members of security as well as Jim Cornette when he returned to the locker room area. Cornette suffered the worst of it as he was taken to the hospital with a back injury and we are still awaiting the diagnosis on that.

Again, we here at ROH apologize for the events of Saturday night as we lost total control of the situation and it falls on Ring of Honor officials for allowing the situation to escalate as much as it did. We expect further word later today on Cornette's condition as well as the rest of the fallout from “Killer Instinct”...
