BRISCOES VS. YOUNG BUCKS IS ABOUT THE TAG TITLE AND A LOT MORE

Two Of The Greatest Tag Teams In ROH History Collide At Final Battle
There have been several truly great brother tag teams in pro wrestling history: Terry and Dory Funk Jr., Jack and Jerry Brisco, Rick and Scott Steiner, and Matt and Jeff Hardy immediately come to mind.

Not only have the Briscoe Brothers (Jay and Mark) and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) joined that exclusive list, but they also are perhaps the two best tag teams in the world today.
Only one can be the very best, though, and that issue will be decided when The Young Bucks put the ROH World Tag Team Title on the line against the Briscoes at the Final Battle pay-per-view on Dec. 2nd at The Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom.

The match is about more than titles, reputations and bragging rights, however.

The two teams have faced each a number of times over the years, but the rivalry became significantly more personal earlier this year when Bullet Club (The Young Bucks, Adam Cole, Hangman Page and The Guerrillas of Destiny) ambushed the Briscoes, Colt Cabana and The Motor City Machine Guns and delivered a brutal beat-down.

The Briscoes, who’ve fought their way to the top by combining brawling tactics with gifted athleticism, are the most decorated tag team in ROH history, having held the ROH World Tag Team Title more times (eight) and longer (807 days) than any other team.

However, the Briscoes haven’t had the ROH World Tag Team belts around their waists since March 2013, and their four-month reign as IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions in New Japan Pro-Wrestling came to an end on Oct. 10th. Therefore, they feel they still have something to prove to the fans, their competition and also themselves.

The Young Bucks, who became two-time ROH World Tag Team Champions (in addition to being the five-time and current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions) when they defeated The Addiction and The Motor City Machine Guns in a Ladder War for the ages at All Star Extravaganza in September, are the most polarizing tag team in the sport.

Matt and Nick Jackson’s innovative high-flying moves, crotch-chopping antics and participation in Bullet Club’s attacks on fan favorites have made them either the coolest performers in the business or the worst thing to ever happen to pro wrestling, depending on who one asks.

In the most recent encounter between the two teams, the Briscoes successfully defended the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title against The Young Bucks at an NJPW event in Hiroshima in September.

Can the Briscoes make it two in a row over The Young Bucks to become nine-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, or will The Young Bucks super-kick and too-sweet their way to another big victory?
