Jay & Mark Briscoe have done some trash talking recently on the main page of ROHwrestling.com. In fact, they clearly stated that they don't feel that new ROH World Tag Team Champions Kevin Steen & El Generico can beat them in a title bout. Now Steen & Generico have responded.
History actually backs up the words of The Briscoes. 2007 saw an epic feud between Jay & Mark and Steen & Generico. While Steen & Generico won some singles matches and street fight type bouts, The Briscoes won every contest with the ROH World Tag Team Titles on the line including regular matches, a Steel Cage bout and the famous "Man Up" Ladder War.
"History is just that," Steen said. "It is the past and now El Generico and myself are the ROH World Tag Team Titles. We are going to be fighting champions and we would love nothing more than to defeat The Briscoes in a tag title match for the first time in Toronto. I wasn't able to give the fans that victory last time and it has been eating away at me. So Briscoes, you say we can't beat you? How about we see in Toronto?"
"Si" El Generico added.
We quickly contacted The Briscoes for comment. They responded with a lot of yelling and all we could really understand was "Hell Yeah" and "Man Up in Toronto!"
It is now official. Kevin Steen & El Generico will put the ROH World Tag Team Titles on the line against former five time champs Jay & Mark Briscoe on 11/8 in Toronto, Canada. Tickets are now on sale at ROHwrestling.com.
