Four names have been announced as part of the field for “Survival of the Fittest 2012” taking place on September 22nd in Baltimore: Adam Cole, Michael Elgin, Jay Lethal & Roderick Strong. All four men have experienced the rigors of the tournament before, but of those four only Elgin has captured the crown. Now another individual who has tested the waters of “SOTF” before, but never made the finals, has thrown his name into the hat: “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett.
Making his second appearance in “SOTF”, Bennett was eliminated in his qualifier by Eddie Edwards, a loss that some point to as the impetus for the on-going rivalry that recently resulted in the mixed tag at “Boiling Point 2012”. Now Bennett, never having tasted ROH championship gold and never having so much as challenged for the World Title, is looking to finally get in the position he has wanted since his debut.
