The 12th Anniversary Event Is Shaping Up To Be The Biggest Yet

We are less than a week way from Ring of Honor's 12th Anniversary event! This will be a huge 2 day celebration of professional wrestling and ROH.  Here's what you can expect from Night 1:

ROH World Championship
ROH World Champion, Adam Cole vs. “The Knockout Artist” Chris Hero

For years, Chris Hero was one of the top athletes in Ring of Honor.  As a former ROH World Tag Team Champion, Hero knows the prestige of holding Ring of Honor gold.  But even as he traveled the globe and took on bigger and bigger challenges, a singles championship in ROH was the one accomplishment that always eluded him.

From the moment Chris Hero returned to ROH at Final Battle 2013, he's had his eyes and elbow locked on Adam Cole - and Adam Cole's World Title.  On January 25th at "Wrestling's Finest," Hero had the opportunity to earn the World Title match he wants.  Hero teamed with "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin and won a Three Way Tag Team match by pinning Adam Cole. Unfortunately for Hero, the championship wasn't on the line in that match...but it will be at the 12th Anniversary! In Philadelphia on February 21st, Adam Cole defends the Ring of Honor World Championship against Chris Hero.

ROH World Tag Team Championship
reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) vs. Adrenaline RUSH (ACH & Tadarius Thomas)

At "State of the Art" in San Antonio, Adrenaline RUSH defeated the current ROH tag team champions in a Proving Ground match.  That means they have earned a tag team title opportunity.  We can now confirmed that match has been signed! In Philadelphia on February 21st, reDRagon will defend the titles against ACH and Tadarius Thomas!  Fish and O'Reilly have been incessantly vocal with their opinions regarding lack of tag team competition. Adrenaline RUSH shut reDRagon up for a night in San Antonio, and now they have the chance to win their very first ROH gold!

ROH World Television Championship
“Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa vs. 2014 Top Prospect Tournament Winner, Hanson

The 2014 ROH Top Prospect Tournament showcased the hottest young talent in pro wrestling. Each participant made his mark, but there could be only one winner.  In Pittsburgh at "Wrestling's Finest," Hanson defeated Raymond Rowe to become the 2014 Top Prospect. The final match was a brutally hard hitting encounter you need to check out on television. But in addition to being named Top Prospect, Hanson also won a TV Title match against current champion Tommaso Ciampa.  With a huge tour of Europe on the horizon, Tommaso has promised to be the most dominant TV champion ever.  However, last year's Top Prospect winner one the title in his guaranteed shot - and Matt Taven would go on to have a legendary reign. It's The Sicilian Psychopath vs. The Top Prospect when ROH celebrates 12 years!

“Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs. Jay Lethal

Jay Lethal met AJ Styles for the very first time on the night of Lethal's first Ring of Honor match, the summer of 2002.  Since then, they've traveled all over the planet amassing accolades and experience...but the stars never realigned quite like they had in June nearly twelve years ago.  Jay Lethal and AJ Styles have never faced each other in an ROH ring. That changes on February 21st! Far from the inexperienced kid he was back in 2002, Lethal has matured into one of the top professional wrestlers not just in ROH but in the entire sport. We are proud to present this contest between two athletes who will no doubt bring out the absolute best in each other and make Ring of Honor history.

"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs. Matt Hardy

Adam Cole will have his hands full on February 21st.  At the 12th Anniversary, he defends his ROH World Championship against Chris Hero.  But earlier that night, his mentor Matt Hardy will face an "Unbreakable" force of his own: at the 12th Anniversary, it will be a one-on-one showdown of "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs. Matt Hardy! Elgin will never lose focus on the ROH World Title - he believes he's the rightful champion and has pinned Adam Cole to prove it.  What better way to send a message to Cole than defeating his mentor? That is, of course, if Adam Cole is still champion after the 12th Anniversary.

Briscoe's "Real" World Title
Jay Briscoe vs. Michael Bennett w/ Maria Kanellis

After an injury forced him to vacate the ROH World Title it took him over a decade to win, Jay Briscoe lashed out physically and verbally against anyone who he felt was responsible. Controversially, Briscoe returned to ROH carrying what he is proud to call the Real World Title - the championship he says he never lost. In San Antonio, Michael Bennett defeated Jay's brother Mark and immediately challenged Jay Briscoe for the "Real" World Title.  The two men brawled until officials broke it up, but we can now confirm the challenge has been officially accepted and the match is signed.  On night one of the 12th Anniversary, Jay Briscoe defends his "Real" World Title against Michael Bennett!
