- We want to thank all of the great fans who joined us last Sunday in New York City and on iPPV! It was a history making evening with matches and events that will be remembered for a very long time. We are happy to report that all of the past issues that we have had with iPPV didn’t resurface and we hope that those days are behind us. We appreciate all of those who have stuck with us as we ironed out our technical issues and we will continue to do everything in our power to give fans the best experience possible. - ROH officials are absolutely disgusted and appalled at the events that took place in the main event last Sunday at “Best in the World 2012: Hostage Crisis”. Between all of the injuries to staff and officials along with the destruction caused… this will go down as the most chaotic scene in all of pro wrestling in a very long time. ROH officials have been spending every hour since Sunday dealing with all of the fallout and damage. We will have more information and updates regarding the whole situation very soon.
- The match that stole the show at “Best in the World 2012” was the Hybrid Fighting Rules contest between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly. Everyone is talking about the passion that both men displayed and this will go down as one of the most memorable bouts in ROH history. It was a gruesome scene as Adam Cole’s face was left mangled following O’Reilly’s vicious strikes but, with blood pouring out of his mouth, Adam fought through the pain and was victorious with a Figure 4 Leglock! To capitalize on this momentum THIS Friday night when ROH returns to Baltimore, MD for another set of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” TV tapings, Adam Cole will get the TV Title match he earned after pinning Roderick Strong in the Proving Ground Four Corner Survival at “The Nightmare Begins…” in Charleston, WV. Cole let it all out in NYC and he will certainly have to do the same at The Du Burns Arena to take the title from Roderick Strong! Tickets for our Baltimore return are available here!
- The other man benefiting hugely from his NYC victory is New York’s own “The Notorious 187” Homicide who, in his first ROH match since March, defeated Eddie Edwards via Cop Killa in the center of the ring! Beating the former World Champion was a huge moment for Homicide, a former ROH World Champion himself, who hasn’t had the greatest success over the last year. Still, as a former champion, and a man who has been victorious every time he has been inside an ROH ring with Kevin Steen, “The Notorious 187” has been awarded by Jim Cornette, or burdened depending on how you look at it, with the opportunity to win the ROH World Title on July 28th when Ring of Honor returns to Spartanburg, SC! - A huge congratulations goes out to the brand NEW ROH World Tag Team Champions Rhett Titus and Kenny King! The ANX have reached the top of the ladder in the world of tag team wrestling!
- It will be interesting to see the developments between members of The Embassy LTD. after what took place at “Best in the World 2012”. It is obvious that “The Sicilian Psychopath” Tommaso Ciampa is extremely upset and volatile at the moment.
