I don't think I need to tell you how frustrating it is when we see society frown on wrestling and display it in a negative light. If I was a non-football fan would I tell football fans they are losers wasting their time? No. But non-wrestling fans say wrestling is only for "Losers, Nerds, and Rednecks". When I was talking to a friend about wrestling I had a teacher come up to me and say, " WWF wrestling is fake, don't ya know?" This pissed me off because 1. The WWF hasn't existed since 2002, 2. Wrestling isn't fake, IMO.
People that say it is fake need to see Sabu vs. Terry Funk's barb wire match and tell me how fake it is. Do you get angry when society says bad things about wrestling that are untrue? |

| Yes, my brother annoys the living **** out of me with that. He almost ruined christmas because he kept saying it was fake and being an ass while I was watching some DVDs I got. I got pissed, and we got into a big fight. Luckily Chris Benoit's excellent match with the Great Sasuke returned my mood to the proper overly-happy level |

| it annoys the **** outta me when people start bashing on it during school. They're like its so fak...its not that its fake its more like scripted...so many people wouldnt be able to put their bodys through what some of these wrestlers have done. Some probally couldnt be able to take a bump let alone be put through a table. They say tables are pre-broken and stuff like that. No if you slam enough weight through those they will break. I hate when people just bash the sport. |

| Another thing that annoys me about people calling wrestling fake is that wrestlers get injured more than other pro athletes. A local middle school supposedly has the best fitness equipment and such in the country or something, and some of it was endorsed by Kurt Angle, so he showed up. The paper did a brief article/interview with him and he said he's gotten injured more from prowrestling than he did with amature wrestling. I've seen it in other interviews as well, saying that wrestlers got hurt more from wrestling than they did from whatever sport(s) they used to play |

usually when some idiot tells me it's fake, i inform him that while it is predetermined, it's not fake. then i jab him in the forehead with a fork, screaming "is that fake b!tch!?!? is that fake?!?!?!!!!!"
ok, no seriously. i do say that it's predetermined. then i tell them to come to the matches with me and afterwards tell me they think it's fake - my expense.
some don't take me up on it. some do. most of them do end up leaving the show appreciating the athleticism of the wrestlers, but leave it at that. but a few actually become wrestling fans. |

One of my friends does this all the time when he hears me talk about Wrestling. Saying stuff like "Oh, Wrestling isn't a sport" and "You know they're not really punching eachother, Right?" But it isn't that bad. What was bad was one time he said that he actually KNEW alot about Pro Wrestling, So I asked him "What is a Suplex?" and all I got was silence. LoL, It was most awesome.
But other than that, Nobody else gives me a hard time. Most of them either like it or don't really care. |

| When somebody tells me wrestling is fake I simply inform them that it is predetermined and that injuries do happen although it isn't done purposly. I also go with the "Movies are fake" as well response. It usually works. |

| Yeah, it sure does make me angry when teachers, co-workers and fellow students bad-mouth professional wrestling. A quick powerbomb usually puts them in their place though. |

As much as I feel the same with you man, sighting Terry Funk vs. Sabu isnt the best example of "NON FAKE WRESTLING". You see, when you show non fans that, there's two responses : 1. THAT'S DUMB or 2. WOW, THAT'S REAL WRESTLING WHY DONT ALL WRESTLERS DO THIS?
Show them BJ Whitmer vs. Homicide from MES.. its WRESTLING and its stiff! |

Thats also a bad example. The no selling in that match makes it look really fake to non wrestling fans. Especially when Whitmer no sells the exploder than Cide sells the wrist clutch exploder like he's dying. |
