Myself and my brothers were discussing this tonight, and we did this purely for fun... We pondered the question "What would ROH be like if it were run by Vince Russo?" So put yourself in our shoes and ponder away.
Note: For this exercise, you must assume there is no God and you live in Pro Wrestling Hell.
Here are some of our conclusions:
1) Any current ROH wrestler with a shred of talent would fade into obscurity, thereby eliminating over 99% of the current roster.
2) Through a series of bizarre, illogical and nonsensical angles, all ROH belts would be held by a combination of the following: Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Vince Russo and Hulk Hogan. For example, Scott Hall becomes the Pure Champion after "finding the belt backstage." Apparently, some careless person would somehow leave the belt behind backstage and Hall would take possession, and be declared champion.
3) Mark Madden would be brought in as a color commentator, known simply as "Gabe." All he does is yell "DANGEROUS" in his loudest, most obnoxious voice every three seconds during a match.
4) The announce team is the aforementioned "Gabe," Vince Russo, and the returning Tony Schiavone. All manner of horrors result.

1.Gary Coleman would win the belt by beating someguy named Willis.
2. Delirious would be the lead commentator.
3. Tony Shivante would be head of production.
4. Whoever used to hold the handheld (naseau) cam on the early shows
would still be doing it.
5. Vince would expose the business by having the results announced
before the match.
6. The boys getting a push would praise his talent.
7. I would lead a much cleaner life so I wouldnt wind up there.

| Fans of the real ROH would buy guns and kill Vince Russo, this would be aired on a home release and turned into a "who killed Russo" angle. |

Jack Evans defeats Samoa Joe for the ROH Pure Championship in 1 minute 38 seconds. After the match, he spraypaints "GN" on the belt, and declares himself the Ring Of Honor Generation Next Champion.
Sadly, I really want to see that. |

You might be right about that. Russo would humiliate them first with crappy gimmicks that couldn't possibly be entertaining to anything higher than one-celled organisms, THEN they'd fade into obscurity.

| Most of these ideas sound pretty good, and management should start studying the plausibility of some of said ideas so they can freshen things up in ROH a little. |
